Description
We are looking for a CAD/CAM programmer, who can able to translates engineering drawings and 3D models into precise instructions (G-code) for CNC machines. Generally responsible in selecting cutting tools, optimize tool paths, and verify simulations to ensure efficient, high-precision, and cost-effective manufacturing of parts
Responsibilities
Responsible to generate, edit, and optimize CNC machine programs using CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks, NX, Autodesk Fusion 360). Run simulation tests before production to prevent errors
Analyze complex engineering drawings, 3D models, and blueprints, strictly applying GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) standards
Ability to determine the optimal machining sequence, cutting parameters (feeds, speeds), and tooling based on the raw material (metals, plastics, composites)
Responsible in design custom jigs, fixtures, and setups to secure the material during the machining process
Collaborate with machinists, production & quality teams to troubleshoot machining issues, reduce cycle times, and continuously improve efficiency plus product quality
Ensure manufactured components meet strict tolerance and surface finish specifications.
Any relevant task required by Production manager
Requirements
Minimum diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related vocational/technical certification
Proficiency in industry-standard CAD/CAM software
Deep understanding of machining principles (milling, turning, multi-axis operations), cutting tool properties, and machine setup
Demonstrable leadership abilities
Solid communication skills
